To clear all open browser tabs in the desktop version of Google Chrome:
Select the three vertical dots in the top right corner and choose Settings from the drop-down menu.
Select On startup on the left, and then select Open New Tab page. After you close the browser, you will be presented with a single empty tab when you restart it.
