If you've upgraded to the iPhone 13 from a model with a Home button, you might be wondering how to see what apps are running or how to close apps on your Home button-less iPhone 13. Luckily, Apple has added a set of gestures to iOS that replace the Home button. (Even if your Home button is broken, you still have options.)

On iPhone models with a Home button (iPhone 8 and earlier), double-click the Home button to see what apps are running. On iPhone 13 (and all iPhones without a Home button), just swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Swipe up about 10% of the way up the screen and all of the apps that are currently running will appear. Just swipe left or right to see them.
