Instagram’s new Story Comments feature is a great example of how social media apps are encouraging interaction on their platforms. Since Stories are now the way most people share – and regular reels and posts don’t see much commenting – Instagram decided to move the conversation space to Stories.

Here's how to enable or disable comments for your story.

If your Instagram has been updated with the new Story Comments feature, it will be enabled by default and you will need to manually disable it. Here’s how:

While posting your story, tap the three dots icon in the top right corner and select “Turn off commenting.”
