Whether you’re in a ranked battle or a normal match, you’ll need to earn SP and gain more Skills in Type Soul. Skills are one of the most important parts of combat, whether you’re a Soul Reaper or a Hollow. Players can earn SP as they play the game, and these can be used to unlock skills from three different skill trees. Once you do, equipping them is pretty easy, as you’ll need to assign them to a number.

The game is heavily inspired by the anime and manga series Bleach, so there are tons of in-game mechanics that players might not be familiar with if they have no idea about anime. Once you have unlocked Skills in Type Soul, you can select the Skill and press the Equip box to assign a number to that specific skill. Players can view their Skill Tree by pressing N. Note that most Passive Skills do not need to be equipped, while skills such as Flash Step can be completed differently. Still, once you have gathered the required SP and unlocked a skill, you can easily equip it.
If you want to unequip a certain skill before assigning another, click on the one you want to remove and you will find an option to unequip it. You can also select the new skill you want to use and assign it the number you want to remove from your battle. SP is hard to come by in Type Soul, so it will be a while before you start worrying about unequipping skills.
