Every wireless printer has an IP address: a 12-digit number that connects it to your computer via your Wi-Fi network. Knowing this identifier can help you troubleshoot connection issues and pair new devices. So you should be able to find the IP address on your printer.

You can also print a network configuration page, which will show the IP address, from your printer's control panel. Again, this will vary by printer, but it's likely in your settings or setup menu. You can also find network configuration information in your printer's app (such as the HP Smart app).

You can also use the command prompt: press the Windows key and type cmd. Type netstat -r and press Enter. You should see the devices your computer is connected to, including the IP address of your printer.

On macOS, open System Preferences from your dock or top menu bar. Click Printers & Scanners and select your printer from the left menu. Click Options & Supplies: the IP address should be listed under Location.
