There often seems to be no reason for Wi-Fi connections to randomly drop or weaken. However, there are several common scenarios where an otherwise strong Wi-Fi connection can become unreachable. When that happens, there are a few things you can try to get your Wi-Fi working again in no time.

Why does your internet connection sometimes stop working?

Your wireless access point only goes so far. When you access the internet at the outer edges of your network range, you will notice that your Wi-Fi connection will start and stop, probably over and over again. Of course, as you move even further away from the router or modem that is providing your Wi-Fi, your connection will stop permanently.

You may be experiencing poor WiFi connectivity if your router is buried in a closet, in the corner of the basement, three rooms away, or just plain old or nearly broken.

The solution may be as simple as moving closer to the router or moving the router closer to you. As you reduce the distance between the router and your device, you increase the chances of a good connection.
