The Palworld Coal Mine was added as part of the Sakurajima content update. It’s a structure placed in your base that Pals mine over time to produce coal, so you no longer have to go out and gather resources or build a second base.
Unlocking the Coal Mine in Palworld takes a while though, as it’s unlocked very late in the game. We’ve got everything you need to know.
To unlock the Coal Mine in Palworld, you need to reach level 53. The Coal Mine can then be unlocked in the technology tree under the Old Technology category, directly below the Sulfur Mine, and there are no requirements needed to unlock the Coal Mine. You just need to rank up to the required levels.
