Unlike other deviants, you can't find a Growshroom in a specific location in the wild. Instead, you have to harvest mushrooms to have a chance of getting this deviant. It's random, so you may have to keep doing this multiple times to get one.

So, explore the world for regular mushrooms – the best place is in the Sunbury Middle School Caves area and if you harvest one, you might even get this anomalous one if you’re lucky. Aside from this location, there are clusters of them growing in forest areas all over the map. Just approach one, look at it and press the F key on your keyboard to harvest.
