If you play Warlock in World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery, you can get a brand new pet called the Explorer Imp. This friendly little guy can bring you some interesting new loot.

To earn your new Explorer Pet, you’ll need to get an item called an Explorer Shard. As far as I know, Explorer Shards can drop from any mob; all you need to do is Soul Drain the enemy and you’ll have a chance to earn one of these items. Interact with the Shard to learn how to summon it.

Explorer Imps allow you to explore rifts in reality to bring back bags filled with all sorts of loot. You can find all sorts of different things in these bags, from BoE level 10 wrists, to level 20 shoulders, to level 30 helmets. You can summon the Explorer Imp the same way you would summon any other pet, and then you can interact with it. Ask it to explore a nearby rift, and it will disappear for 20 minutes. Luckily, you can do other things while you wait for the Imp to complete its quest; once it’s done, simply return to the Imp’s location to collect your loot.
