Apple finally loosens its iron grip

How to Use FaceTime on Android

Though FaceTime debuted in 2010, it's still only available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, so don't expect Apple's popular video chat app to be in the Play Store for Android anywhere.

With the release of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, and macOS 12 Monterey, however, Apple has surprisingly loosened its grip on FaceTime, allowing Android users to participate in one-on-one and group video calls (albeit with many limitations).

FaceTime isn’t available as an app for your Android smartphone or tablet, but you can still participate in FaceTime video chats. How? All you need is a FaceTime link from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac running iOS 15, iPadOS 15, or macOS Monterey.
