Once you set foot in the magical city of the elves, the Sacred Arbor, Glyndwr will likely translate the Elvish Language for you. After completing his questline, you will have no other option but to find a Pawn in the Rift with the Woodland Wordsmith's Specialization.

Unlock Elvish Translation (Woodland Wordsmith Tome) Pawn Specialization Guide – Dragon's Dogma 2

The problem with hiring a pawn dedicated to Woodland Wordsmith is that they are very low-level. In this guide I will explain how to get the Woodland Wordsmith's Tome in Dragon's Dogma 2 so that you don't have to hire a random pawn that doesn't fit your party.

To get the Woodland Wordsmith Tome, you'll need to befriend the innkeeper, Kough, in Sacred Arbor. I've easily accomplished this by giving her a bunch of Sunblooms and Moonglow every day for about two to three days.

On the third day, Kough will approach you as soon as you enter the inn and give you the Woodland Wordsmith Tome. You can manually consume the Tome to give your main pawn the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization.
