When you transfer your email service from Yahoo to Gmail, you are transferring your Yahoo mail and contacts to your Gmail account. Once the transfer is complete, you can send email from either account at any time. Choose your Yahoo or Gmail email address when composing messages or replying to existing messages. Or, configure your Yahoo mailbox to forward to the other account.

Sign in to your Yahoo account and your Gmail account to prepare to transfer messages and your address book.

Move the messages you want to transfer to Gmail from your Yahoo account to your Yahoo Inbox. Drag and drop them or select and move them to the Inbox folder.

Go to Gmail and select Settings (the gear icon).
