Elden Ring – 7 Tips to Become a Parry God and Dominate Bosses

In Elden Ring, Parry is an Ash of War ability that can be applied to certain weapons and shields. It deflects a melee attack by pressing L2 or LT at the right time. If your Parry is successful, you'll open your enemy up for a critical strike, though bosses usually need to be Parried a few times before they become vulnerable.

Certain weapons and shields come equipped with Parry by default, such as the Rift Shield (which the Prisoner starting class begins the game with) and the Parrying Dagger.

To obtain the Parry Ash of War, visit Knight Bernahl at the Warmaster's Shack in northern Limgrave. He will sell Parry along with several other Ashes of War for 600 Runes. Once Bernahl is dead, you can give his Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks in the Roundtable Hold and purchase Parry from her shop instead.
