After reaching Renown Rank B, you can promote classes from each liberated Fortress. To reach this rank, you need to collect 1,750 points. Since you start with Renown Rank E, it would take quite a while to reach Rank B. As you continue to complete main and side missions, including the Overworld and Liberation, you will progress smoothly and unlock expansions for each rank. These expansions help you strengthen your team, often by increasing the maximum unit size.
Since you’ll be liberating cities for Renown points, you should also focus on restoring them by making deliveries. Aside from the battle phases and card enemies, those deliveries are one of the best ways to earn Honors. You’ll need to collect those to promote characters when the feature unlocks.
