Invite-Only deals started last year during Prime Day in an effort to give more people an equal chance to take advantage of the best deals Amazon has to offer. The program must have worked well for Amazon, because they repeated it during Prime Big Deal Days later in October. Prime Day starts on July 16th, but some products are already listed as "invite-only deals." If you know how to sign up for the Invite-Only deals, you have a better chance of taking advantage of these deals.

Only a few products are invite-only. They have an “invite-only” banner on the product page. If they don’t have it, you can’t request an invite. As Amazon explains, you have to be a Prime Member to sign up for the invite-only deal. What you’re doing is essentially requesting an invite to the deal, which you’ll receive via email.
