The TFT Set 12 Battle Pass contains several Booms, locked to free-to-play players. For those like me who used to collect three or more Booms via Battle Passes, we have a collection of options to upgrade them. But nothing seems to work. After reaching out to Riot Games, here’s what I found out about upgrading TFT Booms.
Dot Esports reached out to Riot to ask if Star Shards or a cosmetic piece I wasn’t aware of upgraded Booms. The question has been asked many times online, and the answers always vary. Riot’s Lindsay Honig has let me know that as of this writing on August 13th, there is no way to upgrade a TFT Boom.
The ever-expanding TFT team is “looking at ways to fix this,” Honig said. There are no fixes coming anytime soon. But it’s nice to know the team is aware of the Boom issue and is testing ways to upgrade our classic Booms that are stored in our inventory.
