Using the Speak Cells as You Enter Tool in Excel
I am a big fan of text to speech technology, mainly because it doesn't work that well. However, sometimes it is useful for certain situations.
Excel is packed with features, including Speak Cells, which essentially lets you input your chosen cells into a text-to-speech engine. It’s a great accessibility tool: when my eyes are too tired to read the cells on my computer screen, I just let Excel read the values to me.
By default, it is not easily accessible in the Excel menu, so a small adjustment in the Quick Access Toolbar is needed. First, open the Quick Access Toolbar and then choose More Commands:
