With that in mind, Zoom has introduced something called ‘Focus Mode’, which, at least on paper, prevents students from getting distracted by others. Focus Mode in Zoom is marketed as a revolutionary feature for students, allowing them to pay more attention to the lesson. As we know, children have very short attention spans, which can hinder virtual learning. With Zoom’s Focus Mode, hosts and co-hosts can prevent students from looking at other students’ video thumbnails. Screen sharing is also limited, as only the host can see all screen sharing and no one else.
