I Am: Celine Dion – Official Trailer | Prime Video

EXCLUSIVE: Celine Dion looks set to perform at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics on Friday, in a joint performance with Lady Gaga. But that's not the only big news coming out of the French-Canadian singer.

I Am: Celine Dion, the film that charts the singer’s extraordinary career and recent health struggles, has become Prime Video’s most popular documentary ever. It’s had an impact on her music sales, too: Since the documentary’s June 25 release, “Dion’s catalog streams are up +33% globally,” Amazon MGM Studios tells us.

The documentary directed by Irene Taylor chronicles Dion's rise to fame in her native Quebec, where she released her first album at age 13. She has sold more than 250 million records, won six Grammys, performed at the Academy Awards and recorded Titanic's Oscar-winning love theme, "My Heart Will Go On." In the film, Dion speaks candidly about her diagnosis with Stiff Person Syndrome, an extremely rare neurological disorder that first manifested itself 17 years ago. The condition has sometimes made it impossible for her to sing; at one point in the documentary, she cries after attempting to sing with her usual sonic brilliance. She tearfully tells the director, "It's very hard for me to hear this and to show you this."
