During Gamescom's Opening Night Live, previews of several highly anticipated video games were given, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Dune: Awakening and Borderlands 4.

On the heels of the release of the live-action Borderlands film adaptation, a trailer for the upcoming fourth installment in the franchise debuted during the livestream. The trailer, embedded below, doesn't give away much about the game's story, but it does show off some impressive visuals from the game.

2K Games has also remained fairly cryptic about the gameplay, with the current description simply reading: "See if you have what it takes to go down in history as a legendary Vault Hunter as you search for secret alien treasures and blow up everything in sight."

Borderlands 4 is expected to be released in 2025.
