Pixar's 'Inside Out 2' is the highest-grossing animated film of all time worldwide
There’s rejoicing in cartoon town today, as Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 has become the highest-grossing animated film ever at the worldwide box office. With $1,462.8 million through Tuesday, the sequel has surpassed Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen II ($1.454 billion). Disney has seven of the top 10 animated films of all time worldwide, five of which are from Pixar.
Inside Out 2, directed by Kelsey Mann, has also climbed the global all-time charts to No. 13, behind Top Gun: Maverick. On Monday, it passed Barbie ($1.446 billion).
Its current international box office gross through Tuesday stands at $861.8 million, placing it at No. 20 on the all-time overseas chart. IO2 is still set for release in Japan, on August 1.
