iOS 18 brings a level of personalization never before seen on iPhones. While all of these features can be summarized in about 30 seconds, new ones will be added with further developer beta iterations.
iOS 18 Beta 5 – BEST Update Yet!
One of the newest eye-catching and refreshing additions is a new dynamic wallpaper. This wallpaper changes throughout the day and cycles through all available wallpapers depending on their color and time of day. So in the early morning you see the yellow wallpaper, which then changes to pink. Around noon it changes to blue, followed by an azure shade later in the afternoon. Finally, in the late evening the wallpaper changes to dark purple.
The change isn’t as gradual as you’d like, although the intention behind it seems to be to make it that way. But that could be because iOS 18 is still in beta. By the time the stable build comes out, we expect the change to not only be gradual, but also to include additional dynamic colors.
It would also have been a great idea to change wallpapers based on the time of day and weather, but there's no indication that this will happen in iOS 18. Still, it doesn't hurt to dream.
