The iPhone Ultra is Apple’s flagship phone expected in 2024. According to the latest news, this model will be part of the iPhone 16 series and will offer more advanced features than the rest of the line-up, such as a larger screen and faster hardware.

This year's iPhones will likely come in a variety of models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. That's typical. What is new is the idea of an “ultra” version. Likely to be called the iPhone Ultra, it's rumored to be the top-of-the-line model, scheduled for release this fall.

This new addition was originally supposed to be part of the iPhone 15 lineup (rumors called it the iPhone 15 Ultra). But that didn’t happen. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says the phone will sit alongside the rest of the 2024 iPhones:

We’re guessing the phone will start at $1,199. That’s the same starting price as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, so that’s a fair guess if the Ultra model is just a new name for the Pro Max. If it’s a premium model with superior features, it’ll undoubtedly cost even more. We’ll make a more informed guess as more leaks surface closer to Apple’s event later this year.
