Battery problems are nothing new to the iPhone and its users, but many people are now reporting that several iPhone models are draining their battery quickly.
#1 Worst iOS 17 Battery Drainer (Here’s What You Need to Know!)
The problem: Hundreds of users are posting explanations and screenshots showing that Apple Music is consuming a significant portion of their battery. Reddit user ritty84, for example, shows that Apple Music is responsible for 95 percent of their battery usage; another on Apple’s own forums shows the app using 53 percent of their battery, while other screenshots show the app running in the background for nearly 20 hours.
The complications: The issue doesn’t appear to be specific to a particular iPhone model or iOS version. What’s more, many are running the latest version of iOS, 13.5. 1, meaning updating isn’t even a viable solution. Worse yet, some people don’t even actively use Apple Music.
"I have the same problem. My phone is at 100% in the morning and 20% in the afternoon," Apple forum user heatherpeterson311 wrote. "I even put it into low power mode once it gets below 80% to slow the drain, but I just realized today that the music app, which isn't even running on my phone yet, is running in the background all day and draining the battery."
