Kamal Haasan’s latest action film, Indian 2 (also marketed as Indian 2: Zero Tolerance), hit theatres on July 12. Directed by S. Shankar, the film is a sequel to the 1996 hit Indian. Almost a month after its release, sources have confirmed that the film will soon be available on digital platforms.

Upon its theatrical release, Indian 2 received mixed reviews from audiences and critics, particularly for the first half. In response, the filmmakers decided to shave 20 minutes off the original running time. The film was initially scheduled to run for three hours and four minutes, but the edited version now runs for two hours and 40 minutes.
The sequel continues the story of Senapathy, played by Kamal Haasan, as he returns to India to fight corruption. The plot revolves around a group of friends who start a social media campaign to expose corrupt politicians and call on Senapathy to bring about change in the country.
The cast includes Kamal Haasan reprising his iconic role after more than two decades. The action thriller also features Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, SJ Suryah, Vivek and others in supporting roles.
