Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III wants to know the whereabouts of the 5,500 flood control projects that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. boasted about in his third State of the Nation Address (SONA).

Pimentel said Marcos' SONA last Monday (July 22) was followed a few days later by severe flooding caused by monsoon rains triggered by Typhoon Carina.

The floods that followed the SONA put a damper on Marcos's announcement in his speech that 5,500 flood control projects have been completed.

“The SONA of President Nung Lunes is coming to an end,” Pimentel said in a DWIZ interview on Saturday (July 27), referring to Marcos' announcement in his SONA to ban Philippine offshore gambling activities.
