Apex Legends is getting a new battle royale map in the future. According to leaks, a detailed look at it has now surfaced on social media.
District map coming in season 22!
Notable Apex leaker Osvaldatore posted a series of screenshots of what's rumored to be the game's upcoming battle royale map, called District. Osvaldatore had previously claimed that the map would arrive in Season 22, which is set to begin sometime in late 2024, so the map is still a ways off if plans remain the same. The leaks aren't official, of course, but Osvaldatore has a pretty good track record when it comes to accuracy for a leaker, including leaking the game's massive Evo armor changes ahead of Season 20.
District has a very distinct art style and looks quite unique to the game compared to other battle royale maps. It features several POIs covered in neon signs and lights, such as one called Drydock Arcade, which is a large boat with bright blue and pink lights, and it looks pretty awesome, with several interior areas to fight in, along with multiple rooftops.
Other POIs leaked by Osvaldatore include Electro Dam (a hydroelectric dam), City Hall (a brightly lit city hall building), and Blossom Drive (a residential area with apartment buildings and hologram advertisements for Koala Kola with Fuse). It's all very bright and colorful, with a night-time setting that makes the neon lights stand out even more. If these leaks are accurate, District appears to be the first fully urbanized map for Apex's battle royale after some flirtations with cityscapes in World's Edge and Olympus.
