A new life sim was finally set to compete with The Sims on June 4, but early access for Life By You has now been delayed indefinitely.

The update was shared in a blog post by Paradox Interactive on May 20. The team believes that "additional development time is needed" before Life By You is available for early access.
This update is quite surprising, considering Paradox Interactive doubled the Early Access launch date just a few weeks ago, to April 30th. The developers originally announced the June 4th launch date for February 2nd, and appeared to be on track to meet that date with the most recent update they provided on their progress prior to today’s announcement.
It’s the third time the life sim has been delayed since its original release date of September 13, 2023 in early access. Since then, the release date has been moved to March 5, pushed back again to June 4, and now delayed indefinitely.
