Ryan Adams Tour Cancelled After Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Loveless, the alternative rock duo consisting of Julian Comeau and Dylan Tirapelli-Jamail, have quietly cancelled their upcoming North American tour following recently surfaced allegations of domestic abuse against Comeau.

The group, which has nearly 2 million TikTok followers and more than 1 million monthly Spotify listeners, was set to kick off its tour in Las Vegas on September 13, with dates scheduled for New York City's Irving Plaza and Nashville's Brooklyn Bowl, before wrapping up at Los Angeles' Belasco Theater on October 25 for a hometown show. On Wednesday, opening acts Julia Wolf and Beauty School Dropout posted similar messages on their social media accounts, announcing that they would no longer be part of the Loveless tour after learning "recent information."

Later that week, fans began receiving messages that the tour had been canceled without explanation. Many attributed the tour’s cancellation to claims on social media that Comeau had previously been charged with assault in an abusive relationship. On August 12, a user on X (formerly Twitter) posted a thread detailing a Louisiana domestic violence case filed against Comeau in July 2018; in March 2019, it was downgraded to simple assault. According to court documents viewed by Variety, Comeau was sentenced to six months, including time already served, plus a year of probation. He was issued three separate arrest warrants for failure to appear for supervised release in the year that followed, which were subsequently dropped, and the probation was completed in March 2020, not long after Loveless formed.
