M. Night Shyamalan says he felt “so empty” while making The Last Airbender and After Earth.

Is M. Night Shyamalan concerned about The Last Airbender's bad reviews?

Shyamalan began his directing career with critically acclaimed films such as 1999's The Sixth Sense (he had previously made 1992's Praying with Anger and 1998's Wide Awake), 2000's Unbreakable and 2002's Signs.

He then made 2004's The Village and 2006's Lady in the Water, but both films were not as well received as his previous films.

Speaking to The Atlantic, Shyamalan said he still loves Lady in the Water and that if he were to remake The Village in 2024, there's little he would change about the film.
