Pocketpair released the major Palworld v0.2.4.0 update on May 13th, bringing substantial tweaks to Alpha Pals, bosses, and looting systems. Additionally, it appears to be the first patch that is almost perfectly in sync with the Xbox version.

Palworld – Huge new UPDATE adds tons of changes and features! Raids, Boss Pal, new loot and more

Today’s v0.2.4.0 update rolled out at 11pm CT, and was added to the Xbox version of the monster catching game an hour later. It’s a huge change, especially since Xbox players previously had to wait days for updates to reach their Palworld versions.

This time around, the wait would be even more painful, as the latest update brings a few quality-of-life changes to the game. Alpha Pals’ health has been increased, increasing their chances of survival in battle. Major changes were also added for bosses, with the developers reducing the damage reduction rate of bosses by 18 percent.

Another adjustment that the Palworld community has been raving about is the one regarding items and Pals that drop on death; they can now be picked up by anyone for up to 24 hours after they drop. It’s a substantial change to the mechanics, as players often complained about not being able to get their items back on public servers.
