House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations Vice Chairman and Navotas Rep. Toby Tiangco has expressed his full support for the continued funding of government social service programs under the proposed 2025 national budget.

“NASA P253.3B can be assigned to the iba't-ibang to deal with the nangangailangan. It might be better to get President Bongbong to power to help his matanggap,” Tiangco said.
Tiangco praised President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s announcement in his third State of the Nation Address on the expansion of the Department of Health's Cancer Assistance Program and the proposal to allocate P1.205 billion for the initiative.
He also praised the proposed 7.4% increase in the allocation for the Department of Social Welfare and Development's Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), raising the amount to P114.1 billion by 2025.
