Meta has announced Meta Quest+, a VR subscription service that will cost $7.99 per month. Experts say the news is more evidence that the Meta Quest 2 is a better deal than Apple's gear.
“Similar to Netflix’s original model, Meta wants Quest+ to be a must-have for VR gamers, and the lower price point will make the service attractive and financially viable for younger players in particular,” Patrik Buckau, the co-founder of VR company Warpin Reality, told Lifewire in an email interview. “It’s also similar to PlayStation Plus, where longer memberships mean more monthly content.”
The Meta Quest+ subscription service allows users to play two games per month. You have access to a library of over 500 games for the Meta headset family. However, the available games are curated by Meta and you must select them before the month is up.
