Microsoft Surface Laptop Go Review | Best ultraportable student laptop?

Most Microsoft Surface products tend to be high-end and expensive, but the Surface Laptop Go bucks the stereotype by offering an attractive and capable laptop at an affordable price. This is a top-quality ultrabook that’s designed to compete with the MacBook Air and other ultraportables, but for a lot less money. I put it through its paces for 20 hours and rated its design, screen quality, performance, battery life, and more.

The Surface Laptop Go is definitely a head-turner. Its solid metal and plastic construction feels both durable and lightweight, and it comes in Ice Blue, Sandstone, and Platinum. I particularly like Sandstone because it makes the Laptop Go stand out. It’s also remarkably thin, and fits into almost any bag.

The keyboard and trackpad really steal the show here, as they are exceptionally high quality for a laptop in this price range. The keyboard is quiet and tactile, with soft, almost luxurious keys. I found it very comfortable to write this review on. The trackpad is one of the best I’ve seen on a laptop of this size. It’s large, easy to use, and holds its own against the top-notch trackpads on the Dell XPS 13. For navigation, the Surface Laptop Go also has a touchscreen, which I found responsive and accurate.
