Beauty influencer Jools Lebron, who single-handedly made the word “demure” skyrocket on social media this past week, posted a candid update about how “TikTok has changed my life.”
The creator, who identifies as a transgender woman, encouraged her followers to post their own TikTok videos, saying in a post on Wednesday: "One day I was playing cashier and making videos on my break, and now I'm flying around countries hosting events, and I'm going to be able to fund the rest of my transition."
The “modest” trend has swept TikTok, X (formerly Twitter) and other platforms this week, with many tracing its viral spread back to a video Lebron posted on August 5 about applying makeup in the workplace in a “modest, humble and respectful” manner.
