Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor recently starred in the sports drama Mr & Mrs Mahi and won the hearts of the viewers. The film follows the story of a cricket-loving couple. While Mahendra aka Mahi loses hope of making it to the national cricket team, he helps his talented wife Mahima aka Mahi to pursue her dream. Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film hit theatres on May 31 and has now made its digital debut on streaming giant Netflix.

Mr & Mrs Mahi is the story of two Mahis who don’t give up on their dreams. Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also stars Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Arjit Taneja, Purnendu Bhattacharya and Yamini Das, among others. The official synopsis of the film reads, “When a washed-up cricketer discovers his newlywed wife’s talent on the field, he starts coaching her. But his resentment grows as she begins to shine.”

Mr & Mrs Mahi begins by introducing Mahendra Agrawal aka Mahi, a budding cricketer who loses his chance to be selected for the Rajasthan state team. While he begs his father for another chance, he forces him to join his local sports equipment shop. Despite devoting years to his father’s business, Mahendra does not get the admiration and respect of his father. He is also jealous of his brother who has become a successful TV actor.
