MrBeast Responds to Accusers with Mea Culpa Statement Over Past Videos
YouTube's biggest star, MrBeast (aka Jimmy Donaldson), admitted in a statement to the Associated Press on Wednesday that he used "inappropriate language" online in his early days.
The statement was released as part of damage control following racist and sexist comments made by a younger MrBeast on a recently resurfaced 2017 podcast, and the aftermath of a former co-host's accusation that he "groomed" an underage follower.
“When Jimmy was a teenager, he acted like many children and used inappropriate language while trying to be funny,” a spokesperson for the YouTuber said in a statement to The Associated Press. “Over the years, he has apologized repeatedly and has learned that with increasing influence comes greater responsibility to be more aware and sensitive to the power of language.
