During D23, Disney released a new Moana 2 trailer for the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 hit animated film, showing off new footage of Auli'i Cravalho's Moana and Dwayne Johnson's Maui. Directed by David G. Derrick Jr., the film is scheduled to hit theaters on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

"Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for an expansive new voyage with a crew of unlikely seafarers," reads the film's official synopsis. "Following an unexpected call from her long-sought ancestors, Moana must journey to the distant seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters on an adventure unlike anything she has ever experienced."
