“Our fundamental belief is that we want to work with students as young as possible so that they get the reinforcement, encouragement and support that they need,” Ma told Lifewire in a phone interview. “We want to help students build the confidence that they need to continue on the path to mastering STEM.”
Numerade’s mission is to help more students graduate with a degree in math and science, regardless of their background. The company aims to close the opportunity gap for underprivileged students who may not be able to afford tutoring. Numerade’s platform has over 1 million video lessons in subjects such as chemistry, economics, geometry, physics, and calculus. The company operates an online platform and a mobile application.
