There is no company that does things differently and the launch of their latest smartphone is no exception.

The Nothing Phone(2a) launched on Tuesday in multiple countries around the world, including the UK, India, and the United Arab Emirates—though the US, notably, didn’t make that list. The phone has been completely redesigned, featuring a tweaked Dimensity 7200 Pro processor and a new Glyph design, but the same semi-transparent chassis and monochromatic operating system as its more expensive cousin, the Nothing Phone 2.
The Nothing Phone slid onto the smartphone scene in 2022 with the Phone (1). It caught everyone’s attention because of the Glyphs, or lights, on the back that could be used for aesthetics but also served a purpose for notifications. The same design goes for the Phone (2a), but now the Glyphs have a new design with “15 innovative features.”
In addition to the Glyphs, the front-facing camera has been upgraded to 32MP, with a dual rear camera (main and ultra-wide) measuring 50MP. The phone (2a) also packs a 5,000mAh battery that Nothing promises will last for up to 29 hours of video playback on a 50 percent charge in 23 minutes and 100 percent charge in about an hour thanks to its 45W charging speed. And of course, it still runs the custom Android operating system that Nothing has made so much of an impression.
