One way to save money and keep another gadget out of the landfill is to fix it yourself. Samsung has expanded its self-repair program to help you do just that.

The company announced Tuesday that there’s a “significant expansion” to its self-repair program. That expansion includes 14 new Galaxy devices, including smartphones like the Galaxy S23 series and the Z Fold5 and Z Flip5; new tablets, including the Galaxy Tab S9 series; and the Galaxy Book2 series of 2-in-1 laptops. More interestingly, though, Samsung said it’s adding “20 visual display products, including the Freestyle 2nd Gen projector,” but that this also includes TVs, sound bars, monitors and other products.
The addition of these new products brings Samsung's self-repair program to "nearly 50 models" of Samsung products. The parts needed to perform these self-repairs are provided through a partnership with Encompass Supply Chain Solutions.
Samsung’s self-repair program first launched in 2022, with iFixIt. iFixIt continues to provide some of the self-repair instructions you’ll find through Samsung’s self-repair program, though the partnership appears to be limited to Samsung’s Galaxy phones.
