Overwatch 2 may be free-to-play, but that’s not stopping the hero shooter from coming to Game Pass. And since the game is already free, Xbox Game Pass owners can expect a slew of free cosmetics instead.

New skins, heroes, and everything coming to Overwatch 2 Season 12

Starting September 17, Xbox Game Pass subscribers to the gaming service will be treated to several fan-favorite skins, including Cardboard Reinhardt, Turtleship D.Va, Cyberdragon Hanzo, Street Runner Genji, Bee Mercy, and Cleric Lifeweaver. Additionally, Blizzard announced today that Game Pass subscribers will also receive 30 Mythic Prisms for use in the Overwatch 2 Mythic Shop, where they can purchase the game’s most sought-after hero and weapon skins, as well as their customization levels.

That includes Anubis Reaper, Season 12's new Mythic skin. Ana players can also expect a little Mythic treat, with the Midnight Sun weapon skin also appearing in this season's Mythic Shop.

With the price of Game Pass going up, it’s clear that Microsoft is leveraging all of its properties to sweeten the deal for new and existing subscribers. That includes Call of Duty Black Ops 6 coming to the subscription service, but it’s nice to see little touches like this that continue to add a little value to existing titles, even the free-to-play ones.
