Netflix has announced that Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Emily Bader (My Lady Jane) have been selected to star in the upcoming film adaptation of People We Meet on Vacation, based on Emily Henry's 2021 best-selling novel.

Blyth will play the role of Alex Nilsen, while Bader will play Poppy Wright. In addition to the upcoming romance film, Blyth is currently attached to several films, including A Farewell to Arms, Plainclothes, and Watch Dogs. As for Bader, this is her first major film project in a long time, following her previous appearance in 2021's Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin.
“I watched their chemistry class four times in 12 hours, and I enjoyed it more each time,” Henry said in a statement (via Tudum). “The very first time I laughed out loud, and I got so emotional towards the end.”
People We Meet on Vacation is directed by Brett Haley (Hearts Beat Loud) from a screenplay by Yulin Kuang. The film is produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and Isaac Klausner. It is a Netflix and Sony Pictures production.
