Plantronics Voyager Focus UC: extensive review with microphone test!
If you’re looking for a fully featured Bluetooth headset without compromise, the Plantronics Voyager Focus UC is the right choice. This on-ear stereo headset works just as well for conference calls as it does for listening to music, which is much more than you can say about most mono headsets.
There’s active noise cancellation, a super-clear boom mic, nice fit and finish features like memory foam ear cushions, and a good spread of accessories. You’re paying a premium for all of that, but if you’re shopping in this category, you probably already know that. Let’s take a look at everything this powerhouse has to offer.
Like the Voyager 5200, the Focus UC has a very interesting design, especially considering the other headsets on the market. Typically, a headset aimed at business calls would stick to black, gray, and silver. While the Voyager Focus leans heavily on that color scheme, it does fold in some interesting red accents both on the elastic headband and beneath the mesh holes on the earcups. It seems like a bit of an odd choice for an office accessory, but it tells us that Plantronics isn’t afraid to lean a little in different directions with its products.
