Since the beginning of the year, Pokémon Go has added new pocket monsters through various methods such as eggs and raids, etc. However, not a single monster has appeared in the wild yet, something the game's director Michael Steranka is all too aware of.

During an interview at Pokémon Go Fest, Dot Esports asked Steranka about various aspects of the game, such as when we can expect Galar Pokémon. They also touched on a recent Reddit thread from April about missing wild spawn Pokémon, which Steranka was well aware of.
“You know, it’s funny, I read the Reddit thread months ago, which was about oh, it’s been a while since Pokémon Go released a new Wild Pokémon in the game,” Sternnka told Dot Esports. “Even a couple weeks before that post went live, it was something that we were talking about as a team at Niantic.”
