Pokémon Go uses these as smaller events that happen each week and provide a sort of spotlight with some extra gameplay bonuses for an hour. Some of these events may feature multiple Pokémon or have different elements based on region exclusivity, but they are all at least somewhat dependent on the May event lineup or the available five-star raid rotation. For May, here's a full breakdown of the upcoming Spotlight Hours, Raid Hours, and their associated bonuses.
Spotlight Hours will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time on the dates listed, which will almost always be a Tuesday. Every Pokémon highlighted in Spotlight Hours this month can be encountered as a Shiny, except Mareanie.
Raid Hours will take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time on the dates listed, almost always on Wednesdays. Any Pokémon featured as a Raid Hour boss can be Shiny, except Blacephalon and Stakataka.
