Roblox's credibility when it comes to the safety of its child player base was called into question this week following the arrest of child molester Arnold Castillo.

Roblox says parents are OVERRIDE on child safety claims!🤦‍♂️

Last week, Bloomberg shared a report titled Roblox's Pedophile Problem, which documented the case of Sonic Eclipse Online owner Arnold "DoctorRofatnik" Castillo. The report suggested that Roblox has failed to protect the many children who play the game, with more details provided in an accompanying video on YouTube.

Roblox has since debunked many of the report's claims. For example, its chief security officer Matt Kaufman told Eurogamer (and blogged about the same topic in July) that Bloomberg had misrepresented how the company protects its users and failed to convey how complex the process of online child safety can be.

In addition to the statement, Kaufman pointed out the many steps Roblox is taking to ensure the safety of players of all ages.
