iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 bring a handy little feature to the native Safari browser app. These new updates let iPhone and iPad users trim videos they download without ever leaving the browser app.

After downloading a video, open the video preview and use the trim icon to view the timeline. Drag the timeline in and trim the video. Tap 'Done' and 'Trim Original' and you're done!
While the same option is available via the File Manager’s video previewer, trimming videos from within Safari itself will make it easier to get the job done without switching apps. Videos stored on the device or in iCloud will also be trimmed.
The feature is available on iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. iPadOS' larger screen makes it easier to trim downloaded videos in Safari.
