Samsung has just unveiled an ultra-large gaming display that should significantly increase immersion in games.

The Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch is billed as the “world’s first” dual UHD gaming monitor, and that’s no exaggeration. It features a 57-inch 32:9 display, which is literally as wide as two 32-inch UHD monitors. The curvature is a bold 1000R to increase the field of view, which Samsung says “envelops users in razor-sharp images.”

Speaking of those razor-sharp images, this is a modern Samsung gaming display, so the NEO G9 features the company’s patented Quantum Matrix Technology and the display features Quantum Mini LED lighting, which the company says offers smaller, more discreet dimming zones. The screen supports HDR, offers a 240Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time (GTG), and a 1,000nit peak brightness. This thing is a beast.

It’s VESA-certified for easy wall mounting and features integrated AMD FreeSync technology for a stable, stutter-free image. To that end, the Neo G9 also features picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes to further expand your viewing options. This can be done with multiple input sources simultaneously, thanks to a diverse range of ports available, including DisplayPort 2.1 and a full-featured USB hub.
