The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday (July 25) assured that damage to courts from Typhoon Carina was minimal.

Supreme Court spokesperson Camille Ting said that based on initial reports, “damage to the courts is minimal, such as soaked files and equipment.”

Since July 23, the Supreme Court has imposed work stoppages on courts in typhoon-hit areas.

These areas include the National Capital Region, Region III; Region IV-A; Dagupan, Lingayen, Balungao, Rosales and Sta. Maria in Pangasinan; Baguio City; Calbayog town in Samar; San Fernando City and Agoo in La Union; and La Trinidad in Benguet.
